Rammstein Rum

Rammstein are one of the most original rock bands to have come out of Germany founded in East Berlin in 1994 they have sold out venues and music festivals across the the globe and been nominated for two Grammy Awards and have achieved seven figure record sales. There performance is intense and full of fire pouring over band stage and sometimes audience it is an experience that should not be missed.

Tasting notes: Rammstein Rum is not a let down and is as full as a stage performance on the nose there is tropical ripeness and spice with smoke rolling over the glass it pours a bright amber to red on the palate fruity sweetness shipped in from the Jamaican and Guyanese Rum and a long lasting comforting spice from the fresher alcohol of the column still from Trinidad this has all been blended and aged in bourbon barrels for 12 years, which gives gives oaky leathery notes and some very pleasing smoke.

As noted above the rum is a blend of Jamaican and Guyanese pot still rum and column-still from Trinidad blended together and then aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels the rum was created especially for the band 2018. The pot still rums are rich in body and give an intensity of aroma which enliven the seances and prepares you for the wash of flavour to follow the column still softens and balances the who ensemble and keeps the finish long which a a beautiful finish to any sip of rum.

This is a rum that is not just a fad picking up on the success of the band this is a serious piece of art in itself and is refreshing to see there are still great rums waiting to be found to thrill the collector and inspire the inquisitive.
